Built to Make the Search Easier

Connecting families with resources that fit.

About Kids Abilities Connect

Kids Abilities Connect was created around a simple idea: finding support for your child should not require hours of searching, asking the same questions in multiple parent groups, and trying to piece together recommendations on your own.

Whether you have questions about your child’s development, are looking for a pediatric provider, want to find a sensory-friendly activity, or simply need a place where your family feels welcome, Kids Abilities Connect is here to make the search easier.

We bring together child development resources, pediatric providers, inclusive activities, parent support, and community programs in one place so families can spend less time searching and more time connecting with resources that fit.

This Is About More Than a Diagnosis

You do not need to have all the answers before you start looking for support.

Kids Abilities Connect is for families navigating developmental disabilities, developmental differences, early concerns, milestones, or simply questions about what might help their child.

Maybe you are wondering whether speech therapy could help. Maybe you are looking for an occupational therapist, feeding support, an adaptive activity, or a music class where your child can participate comfortably.

Sometimes the question is big.

Sometimes it is simply, “Where do I start?”

Both belong here.

More Than Pediatric Therapy

Clinical services are an important part of Kids Abilities Connect, but they are only one piece of the picture.

Children also grow through play, movement, creativity, relationships, and opportunities to be part of their community.

That is why KAC brings together resources ranging from occupational therapy, physical therapy, speech therapy, feeding support, and developmental evaluations to adaptive recreation, sensory–friendly play, music, art, fitness, library programs, parent groups, and local events.

Because sometimes the next helpful connection happens in a therapy office.

And sometimes it happens at a play space, art class, support group, or community program where your family finally feels comfortable.

Built for Parents, From a Parent's Perspective

Hi, Im Kelsey, the founder of Kids Abilities Connect.

As a school psychologist, I have spent years helping families understand child development and connect with resources outside of school. But becoming a parent gave me an entirely different perspective.

I understood the systems, the terminology, and the types of providers available, and I still found myself searching for recommendations, asking questions, and trying to determine which resources might be the right fit.

That experience helped shape Kids Abilities Connect.

I wanted to create the kind of resource parents are constantly looking for: one approachable place to discover providers, activities, programs, information, and support.

KAC is not about telling families that there is one right path. It is about making the possible paths easier to find.

Growing With Families

Kids Abilities Connect began with a focus on Monmouth County and Ocean County, New Jersey, continuing to expand across New Jersey and beyond.

Local, virtual, clinical, recreational, educational, or simply fun, the goal remains the same:

Kids Abilities Connect organizes resources into four main areas to help families better understand their options and find a clearer place to begin.

Help families find the support and connections that make the next step feel a little clearer.
