Families may begin looking for pediatric services when they have questions or concerns related to communication, movement, feeding, everyday skills, learning, development, or other areas of their child’s growth.
Kids Abilities Connect helps families discover providers and clinical resources including:
You do not need to know exactly which provider you need before you begin searching. Our goal is to help you understand the options available and connect you with professionals who can provide more individualized guidance.
Sometimes families are not looking for therapy at all. They are looking for somewhere their child can play, explore, move, and participate without feeling like they have to fit into a particular mold.
Explore sensory–friendly play spaces, accessible recreation, adaptive activities, and welcoming local spaces designed to support children with different abilities, comfort levels, and needs.
These resources can help families discover new experiences while finding environments where participation can feel a little easier.
Development happens outside the clinical setting too.
Play, movement, music, creativity, and connection can all be meaningful parts of a child’s experience.
Kids Abilities Connect highlights inclusive classes, library programs, fitness activities, music, art, dance, community events, and local programs where children and families can learn, explore, have fun, and meet others.
Some programs may be specifically designed for children with different needs or abilities. Others may simply offer an environment, format, or community that families find welcoming.
Parents spend a lot of time finding resources for their children.
Sometimes you need support too.
Our Parent Resources section connects families with local and online parent groups, educational resources, community support, and information about child development so you can feel more informed about the choices in front of you.
You do not have to have everything figured out before reaching out or connecting with other families.

No. Kids Abilities Connect is not only for families with a specific diagnosis.
Families may be exploring developmental disabilities or differences, wondering about milestones, noticing an area where their child could use extra support, or simply looking for activities where their child will feel comfortable and included.
Resources are primarily focused on children from birth through elementary school, with some programs and resources extending into the middle school years.
Kids Abilities Connect does not provide pediatric therapy or clinical treatment.
We help families find and learn about independent providers, programs, activities, and community resources that may be relevant to their needs.
KAC is beginning with a strong local focus on Monmouth County and Ocean County, New Jersey, while continuing to expand resources across New Jersey and beyond.
Depending on the provider or program, some resources may also be available virtually.
That is okay.
You can use KAC to learn about different types of support and discover resources you may want to explore further. When you have specific concerns about your child’s health or development, an appropriate qualified professional can help you determine which type of support may be a good fit.
